ECE130 Social Emotional Learning in Early Childhood 3 credits

This course examines social-emotional development in early childhood with an emphasis on universal, developmentally appropriate practices that promote emotional well-being, belonging, and engagement. Students explore how classroom interactions, routines, and learning experiences support emotional literacy, social understanding, and cooperative skills. Attention is also given to the professional responsibilities and emotional demands of early childhood educators as they support children’s social-emotional development.

This course may be taken 1 time for credit.
