ECE230 Scientific Exploration In Early Childhood 3 credits

This course introduces students to developmentally appropriate approaches for teaching science to young children from infancy through the early childhood years. Emphasis is placed on inquiry-based learning, hands-on exploration, and the role of play in supporting children’s scientific thinking. Students examine core early childhood science concepts and practices, including observation, questioning, and problem-solving, with particular attention to the use of natural materials and outdoor environments as contexts for learning.

This course may be taken 1 time for credit.
