The second course of a three course series concentrates on the assessment and treatment of the trauma patient as well as the recognition of different types of shock and the treatments related. The student will perform all complete patient assessments and interventions in a scenario-based environment utilizing high fidelity simulation as well as scenarios based in the outside environment. This course will also emphasize responding to cardiac arrest in the field and resuscitation.

This course may be taken 1 time for credit.
