EMT218 Trauma Emergencies 4 credits
This class establishes knowledge associated with pathophysiology, kinematics, assessment and management of trauma including blunt trauma, penetrating trauma, hemorrhage and shock, soft tissue trauma, burns, musculoskeletal trauma, head / face / neck trauma, spinal trauma, thoracic trauma, and abdominal trauma. Prehospital Trauma Life Support (PHTLS) certification is also a requirement for this course and is embedded throughout the curriculum and schedule.
